Garland Police Never Walk Alone Mad Dog Moore Memorial Bass Tournament

On Saturday, February 15th, 1997 at 1:27pm, the Garland Police Department suffered a tremendous and tragic loss. Police Officer Michael David "Mad Dog" Moore was killed in the line of duty when apprehending a bank robbery suspect at the Bank One on W. Centerville Rd. Michael David Moore was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to fish. We could think of no other tribute as fitting to our fallen brother's memory than the creation of an annual bass tournament.

Since 1997, the "Mad Dog" Memorial Bass Tournament has been a growing event that would not be possible if not for the generosity of our sponsors.
